Carriage House in Heart of Downtown Burlington

Burlington, VT, United States

6 guests
3 bedrooms
1.5 bathrooms

Our three bedroom carriage house is tucked away in a private garden a mere block from downtown Burlington. It's the perfect spot for exploring the city or using as a base for your outdoor adventures year round. It's great for groups, business travelers, and families (see our kid-friendly amenities).

Good to know

The carriage house was built in 1893. Since we're no longer using horses, we've converted it into a cozy downtown retreat with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The private, detached building is behind our main house. Walk to the waterfront, parks, great restaurants, breweries, music venues, playgrounds, as well as bike and ski rental shops. The first floor has a half-bath; a bedroom with two twin daybeds (with real mattresses); and a kitchen/dining room. Please note that there is not a separate living room; the first floor bedroom is set up with additional seating to be a flex space that can be used as both a bedroom and a gathering place. The eat-in kitchen includes complimentary coffee, a fridge, two induction burners, a microwave, and a full complement of kitchen supplies and utensils. Upstairs are two sunny bedrooms with queen beds, and a full bath with shower. We've done our best to provide modern amenities, but not much about a 130 year-old carriage house is still square, so we hope our guests will appreciate the authentic, historic feel of our home in addition to the brand-new mattresses. Your hosts are native New Englanders and world-travelers who've had amazing experiences with Airbnb all over the globe. We strive to provide the kind of homey, clean, and welcoming space we want to stay in. Lots of outlets, good wifi, and coffee. We travel frequently (especially when it's cold) and you might be interacting with our co-host, Errin. If you have any questions about the space, feel free to ask!

Other Details to Note

Please note: 1) there is no TV and 2) no parking on-site. Street parking is free but we recommend using the overnight city garage, 2 blocks from the house, only $10/24hrs! Finally, from time to time, we make updates and improvements to the house, including furniture, décor, and amenities. As a result, occasionally there are small differences between what you find IRL and the listing photos. Any changes are made to enhance the comfort and quality of the guest experience. The overall layout, functionality, and standard of the accommodation are always maintained.
